Owsley, C., Stalvey, B., Wells, J., Sloane, M.E. (1999) Older drivers and cataract:  Driving habits and crash risk. Journal of Gerontology: Medical Sciences 54A: M203-M211.

Summary:

The DHQ is a 34-item instrument designed to address the following driving domains: current driving status (and reasons for driving cessation if this is the case), miscellaneous driving habits (e.g., seat belt use, preferred mode of getting around in community), driving exposure, driving difficulty, dependency on others to drive, self-reported crashes and citations, and driving space (i.e., spatial extent of driving into the environment). It was designed to be administered to older persons (≥ 55 years old). It takes approximately 10-20 minutes, depending upon the respondent.
